About Us
Our Origin: A Decade in the Making
For ten years, a single vision lived in the heart of our Founder: A South Africa where the most vulnerable, our children and elders never have to wonder where their next meal will come from. What began as a quiet prayer for change has matured into United by Life. Established in October 2025, we are the bridge between a fertile earth and a hungry table. We do not just want to "give" food, we want to grow dignity.
The Mission: Stewardship of Life
We do not just farm; we nourish the roots of our community. United by Life is a non-profit ecosystem dedicated to the intensive cultivation of fresh produce specifically for orphanages, communities and old-age homes that have been left behind by traditional support systems.
Our Mandate is Simple: Feed. Care. Empower.
- Feed: Providing nutrient-dense, farm to table produce to those in their developmental and golden years.
- Care: Restoring the sense of worth that comes from knowing your community is invested in your health.
- Empower: Creating a sustainable model of food security that can be replicated and scaled.
Cozy Place
At the heart of our operations is our sanctuary — a space of peace and productivity. This is where Soil meets Soul. It is a place where volunteers from around the globe and local community members work side-by-side. We believe that by tending to the garden, we tend to ourselves. Whether you are a local neighbour, Volunteer, or an international traveler on a gap year, this is your home for meaningful impact.
Join Us — Step into the Circle
- The Investor (Donate): Your contribution is not a gift, it is a seed which buys the water, the tools, and the seedlings that turn into thousands of meals.
- The Guardian (Volunteer): Join our Sustainable Living Program. We invite international students and change-makers to spend a week or more immersed in our gardens. Master regenerative agriculture while leaving a legacy of health in South African soil.
- The Voice: If you cannot give your hands or your coins, give your voice. Spread the word that hope is growing here.
